Dr. George Par, MD - Vitreoretinal Surgeon

George Par, MD is a fellowship-trained, board-certified vitreoretinal surgery subspecialist. He has been seeing ophthalmology patients since 2011.

Dr. Par graduated Magna Cum Laude and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry at New York University. He received his Doctorate of Medicine from New York University School of Medicine with a combined Research Honors program with a focus on retinal disease.

After his preliminary internal medicine year, he completed ophthalmology residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center. He then went on to complete a 2-year vitreoretinal surgery fellowship at Rush University Medical Center / Illinois Retina Associates in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Par is board certified in ophthalmology with a focus on the medical and surgical management of the retina, including advanced treatments for age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vascular occlusion, macular hole, macular pucker and retinal detachment. He performs complex intraocular lens surgery and is well versed in intraocular lens replacement and scleral fixation techniques.

Dr. Par is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists. He has published numerous articles and scientific papers and has been invited to present his research at national and international meetings.

He has greatly enjoyed his time in Las Vegas and looks forward to continuing to offer excellent personalized care to his patients.
